Working to increase the opportunities and horizons of young people in Girvan and the surrounding area the Girvan Youth Trust have become a partner of Eurodesk.

Eurodesk is a Europe-wide information service for young people on European opportunities.

They give advice on

  • work,
  • study,
  • volunteering
  • Travel in Europe,
  • European funding.

With the introduction of Eurodesk to the Girvan Youth Trust this will open up even more opportunities for local young people to expand their horizons on a European level.

This is accessed and promoted through the Girvan Youth Trust office.

The European Youth Portal is for any young person who wants to travel, work, study or volunteer in Europe, get informed about their rights or just wants to find out more about Europe.

The portal works as a gateway to thousands of other websites from across 30 European countries. So, if you want to get a job in Spain, learn Greek, volunteer in France, search for a flat in Norway, look up train times in Italy, check what's on at the movies in Estonia or find a restaurant in Bulgaria, the European Youth Portal is a good place to start!
