Project 8 were a DJ group who met on a Monday night in the Community Centre. The group had been running for four years now and provided music for local parties as a way of bringing in money for new equipment etc.

VISIT TO SOMA

In December 2004 the guys from Project 8 went on a visit to the Soma Skool workshop at the Arches in Glasgow. This annual event is promoted by the Soma record label to showcase new music technology and promote new upcoming producers from all ages.

The guys found loads of good info helpful for anyone interested in venturing into the music business. They also had the chance to see new bits of gear in action and test some out.

Other workshops doing live song creation on different software were cool as well! So a well worth it venture for all of us!

In August 2003 Project 8 took part in a youth exchange and went to visit a project in Greece called All4plur.
In December 2003 All4plur came over to Scotland.
